About the Author

Hi, I’m mike. I’ve been posting online in one form or another since 2007 through different websites of my own or organisations I’ve been part of (although I’ve been online longer than that!). I’m a 26 year old techie, currently working at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as part of the award winning Blended Learning Team within the Health Academy.

My interests have often spanned between music, computers, the world wide web and electronics which has lead me to work on many past ventures including work with the  BassMent! Radio project at the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus as well as work within Hull University Union and the Creative Enterprise Laboratory.

I am currently finishing writing up for a MRes in Sonic Art from the University of Hull (to top off my BA (Hons) in Creative Music Technology) as well as taking studies in the AV Associate program at Extron Electronics. I’m also currently learning Python with a view to moving onto C# for further development on the Raspberry Pi and moving towards developing for Microsoft Hololens.

About WAVE

As previously I’ve written on blogs regarding working within Music Technology and Web Development, WAVE Media represents my current stage in my career working within the Audio Visual and Education industries as well as continuing my passion for music production. The name itself is a backronym for Web, Audio, Visuals and Education/Electronics and spells out the mission of this blog. Using the knowledge and experience I have gained from the last decade I want to share this with others who may benefit from learning about it and for others that have the knowledge to open a forum of discussion so we may all benefit from each other’s knowledge.

I also want to use the site as a newer, centralised platform for showcasing my latest projects and ideas (that down already have their own subsites on the RTA network) as well as share other’s projects that are worth celebrating.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the site and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

Take Care
